Lineage Recognized as a US Best Managed Company

May 10, 2022

Novi, MI — Lineage, LLC (or the “Company”), the world’s largest and most innovative temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions provider, has been named a 2022 US Best Managed Company, a program sponsored by Deloitte Private and The Wall Street Journal that recognizes outstanding U.S. private companies and the achievements of their management teams.

As a 2022 designee, Lineage is recognized for being a company that has demonstrated excellence in strategic planning and execution, a commitment to its people, and fostering a dynamic, resilient culture as well as strong financials. Applicants were evaluated and selected by a panel of external judges focused on assessing hallmarks of excellence in four key areas: strategy, ability to execute, corporate culture, and governance/financial performance.

“It’s an honor to join this esteemed cohort of private companies from around the world who have demonstrated excellence in their corporate culture and overall business model,” said Greg Lehmkuhl President and CEO of Lineage.  “At Lineage, we pride ourselves in being the most innovative and dynamic at what we do, which would not be possible without leaders across our global network who work every day not only to create a culture that is both progressive and authentic, but also to run a business that addresses the needs of the world’s food supply chain.”

This year, Lineage joins a global ecosystem of honorees from more than 40 countries and is among 51 companies from various industries that were selected for their continued efforts to propel their businesses forward by prioritizing purpose, investing in their workforces, and demonstrating their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Since its founding in 2012, Lineage has grown its global network to over 400 facilities in 20 countries spanning more than 2 billion cubic feet of temperature-controlled capacity and employing more than 23,000 team members. The company seeks to fulfill its purpose of transforming the food supply chain to eliminate waste and help feed the world. To help achieve this purpose, the company launched the Lineage Foundation for Good in 2021, an independent nonprofit aimed at reducing food waste and fighting food insecurity in communities worldwide. Also in 2021, Lineage joined The Climate Pledge to push for a more sustainable cold chain. Co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism in 2019, the pledge calls for businesses and organizations to commit to reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. Notable signatories include Verizon, Visa, Microsoft and PepsiCo among others. As part of this commitment, Lineage installed groundbreaking clean energy advancements in its Colton, California facility that will generate 100% of the facility's energy consumption on-site.
