Celebrating the 10-Year Anniversary of Lineage Logistics

Today, April 18th, marks ten years since Lineage Logistics was formed—combining the first companies acquired by Bay Grove into one shared platform under the same shield.

Since 2012, Lineage has grown and evolved into the world’s leading and most innovative temperature-controlled logistics company. And it all started with a single warehouse in Seattle, Washington.

In ten years, we’ve welcomed the best-of-the-best in the cold chain into our organization, strengthening our ability to deliver service excellence and creating an unmatched end-to-end logistics solution for our customers. Today, we stand as a team of over 23,000 across more than 400 facilities in 19 countries – with many differentiated solutions like rail, food service, redistribution, direct-to-consumer fulfillment and last mile delivery.

In ten years, we’ve embraced our shared values of Safe, Trust, Respect, Innovation, Bold and Servant Leadership, committing ourselves to living them every day. Today, it is our values and the culture they underpin that unequivocally set Lineage apart as an outstanding place to work – and a company with whom our customers are proud to partner.

In ten years, we’ve rallied around our organization’s higher purpose, which is to transform the food supply chain to eliminate waste and help feed the world. Today, we fully realize (and celebrate) our tremendous responsibility as shepherds of the food supply chain and the protectors of what our families and communities eat – the last two years of supply chain turmoil have only placed an exclamation point on that reality!

In ten years, we’ve reimagined the cold chain from top to bottom – for the better. Today, we use industry-first technologies to create a smarter, faster and more resilient supply chain where safe, quality food moves seamlessly from where it’s grown or manufactured to end consumers in communities around the globe.

And in ten years, we’ve committed to ensuring the future we create is sustainable. Today, we are proud partners of The Climate Pledge, a cross-sector community co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism that calls on signatories to commit to reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 – 10 years ahead of the Paris Climate Agreement.

From achieving scale, to innovating, to making an impact in all that we do, there is no doubt that Lineage is a remarkable company. If this is what the first ten years looks like, I am confident the next ten will be nothing short of inspiring.
